mortgage-comparer. It turns out that there are a ton of variables in what makes one mortgage better than another one, and in fact their net present value can be different depending on how long you plan to keep that mortgage. I wrote this little doodad to help me think through all my refinance options, and also to learn the Knockout.js MVVM JavaScript framework.

unmarried-taxes. My wife and I aren't legally married, which means we have some flexibility in who claims what for deductions. Figuring out what to do is hard, though, so I wrote this tool to help me experiment with different approaches - it allows you to slide various deductions to one person or the other, and recalculates the taxes owed based on those choices.
